Biography
Theodore J. Spinks, MD, joined Pediatric Neurosurgery at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh January 1, 2007 as a clinical assistant professor after serving a one-year fellowship with the department.
Dr. Spinks’ clinical focus is on developing minimally invasive surgical techniques for children, especially in the areas of CSF diversion, intracranial and skull base tumors, and spinal surgery. He is currently seeing new patients presenting with all neurosurgical conditions.
Prior to joining Children’s Hospital, Dr. Spinks completed a general surgery internship and neurosurgery residency at the University of California, Los Angeles. He earned his medical degree from Columbia University’s College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1999 and a bachelor of science degree from Cornell University in 1995 with a major in neurobiology and behavior.
